Meet the Instructor

  • Rising senior at Marvin Ridge High School

  • Hey! I’m Akshara, a rising senior at MRHS, and I am passionate about Economics and Business Management. I am the founder and director of Blooming Melodies, CFO and Chief Teacher Coordinator at Quarantunes (a music education nonprofit organization), and the Co-Director of Operations at Invest Bright (a financial literacy nonprofit organization). I have won several awards in economics at Youth Economics Initiative, Future Business Leaders of America, and Council of Economic Education. This summer I am a research assistant where I delve into generational economic mobility in housing. I am also interested in STEM, and have completed a research project in Organic Chemistry (the Synthesis and Characterization of Isoindenone Dimers) and presented it at a symposium. Additionally, I explored the use of AI to increase efficiency in violin lessons. I love playing the violin, and have played it for 10 years, taught lessons for 4 years, and am a first violinist at the Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestra.
